ACP basic interface organization
1: Global navigation bar
The Trellis Desk administration control panel is divided into multiple sections: "Administration Home", "Management", "Look & Feel", "Tools & Maintenance", and "Help & Support". Each section contains its own unique group of settings and information.
More details about each of the ACP sections are provided later in this article.
The global navigation bar allows you to move between each of these sections.
2: Page title
The name of the page that you are viewing.
3: Section description
A basic overview of the section's contents and purpose.
Grey sidebar menu
The sidebar displays all of the available options and actions that can be performed in a particular section. The sidebar is divided into categories, so relevant menu items are grouped together under one category heading (like 'Ticket Control', as pictured).
ACP sections
'Administration Home' section
This section of the ACP provides basic system information (Trellis Desk version, PHP version, available software updates, etc.) as well as convenient tools for administrators like the administrator notepad and an overview of tickets awaiting action.
'Management' section
This section of the ACP is where you can view and reply to support tickets, manage your departments, manage your announcements, handle user accounts, setup your knowledgebase and much more. You also configure system settings in this section.
'Look & Feel' section
This section of the ACP allows you to add and edit skins, choose a default skin for your helpdesk, force all members to use a certain skin, add and customize language files, and perform other operations that affect the appearance of your system.
'Tools & Settings' section
This section of the ACP provides useful tools to rebuild and recount system functions, verify that the Trellis Desk core structure is intact, and create backups of your helpdesk. You can also view complete logs of actions performed.
'Help & Support' section
This section of the ACP displays the available methods of receiving support for your copy of Trellis Desk: documentation, free peer-to-peer support at the ACCORD5 company forums, and official support plans from ACCORD5.
