To modify your helpdesk languages, head over to the "Look & Feel" section of the ACP. In the grey sidebar menu, under Manage Languages, click on Manage Languages.

The Language List panel shows a rundown of the available languages in your helpdesk system.

Editing Language Properties

Manage Languages

On the Language List, under Edit, click on the "Properties" link next to the language that you would like to modify. You will be brought to the Edit Properties screen where you can adjust a couple of settings about this language:

Name

The standard name of this language, as displayed to customers and staff members.

Key

The name of this language's folder inside the languages directory of your Trellis Desk system.


Click the "Edit Properties" button once you're finished.


Editing Language Strings

You can edit language strings from within the ACP. On the Language List, under Edit, click on the "Language" link that corresponds with the language that you would like to modify. You will be brought to the Language Files List screen where you can select a language file to edit. Once you've finished editing a particular file's strings, click the "Edit Language File" button to save your changes.


Deleting a Language

On the Language List, click on the blue "Delete" capsule button next to the language you would like to remove. A confirmation message will appear, ensuring that you really want to remove this language. Click "OK" to do so.

You cannot delete a language if it is currently set as the helpdesk default.
